PocketNEM offers comprehensive access to the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) data directly on your mobile device, providing a practical tool for energy professionals and traders.

The application displays critical market information through both numeric tables and visual graphs. Users can easily switch between these views by rotating the device orientation, ensuring flexibility in data analysis.

Key data points available within the app include:

• Demand
• Generator Availability
• Unit Generation
• 30-minute Predispatch
• 5-minute Predispatch (accessible by selecting a State on the map)
• Interconnector Flow
• Market Notices

The app features an alert system that notifies users when prices exceed or fall below user-defined thresholds. Subscription is required to access this functionality. Users can configure trigger levels for high and low alerts within the 'Info' tab, select specific regions for alerts, and choose to receive periodic notifications during sustained price conditions. An optional alert notifies when prices return to normal levels.

An app badge number feature (subscription required) provides real-time updates, such as:

• Unread notices count (default setting)
• Maximum price today (actual or predispatch)
• Maximum price in predispatch
• Average price today (actual and predispatch) for a region
• Average price in remaining predispatch periods for a region

The development team plans to introduce additional features and expand available data over the coming months. Users are encouraged to utilize in-app feedback options to suggest further enhancements.

Initial data is accessible for a two-day period after first use. To continue receiving live updates, users must subscribe through an auto-renewing plan, which will prompt renewal notifications as needed.

NEM Data Subscription Details:

• An auto-renewing subscription is required to access ongoing data updates, available within the app.
• The current subscription rate is $2.49 for a three-month period.
• Renewals are automatic unless canceled via iTunes account settings at least 24 hours prior to expiry; cancellation prevents future charges but retains access until the end of the current subscription period.
• The subscription fee may be adjusted over time; users will be charged at the current rate upon renewal, with provisions for downgrades or upgrades based on pricing changes.
